In the Works: Indigo Rose

This all-natural cold process soap came about because I wanted to continue experimenting with natural colorants.  I used Indigo Powder and Rose Clay to create the soft, muted, look.  The soap recipe itself is a basic one – Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, and Canola Oil.  As for essential oils, I used a little bit of each: Peppermint, Rosemary, Tea Tree, and Lavender.  The Lavender oil was given to me by a friend of mine who makes her own hydrosols and oils.  The resulting smell was that of light mint with earthy undertones.  It’s invigorating, but not overpowering.  This soap will be ready in about 4 more weeks, about the same time as the shampoo bars!
