In the Works: Jumbo Fleur-de-lis Soap

It’s football season, so why not?  I had initially wanted to stamp the soaps with a fleur de lis soap stamp and sprinkle the top with gold mica.  At the last minute, the soap stamp was out of stock so I settled for a bit of melt & pour and a wax tart mold.  Because of the way this loaf was made, these bars weigh in at a hefty 7 oz.  After cutting the soap, I was unhappy with the way the fleur de lis “peeked” out the side(as is evident in the pictures).  I have since scraped the black line off of the gold and I think it looks way better 🙂  This soap was intended to be unisex, so I went with a very light scent that was neither too feminine nor too masculine – Crisp Anjou Pear.  These will be ready right before Thanksgiving.

  • Fleur de lis made with clear melt & pour and gold mica
  • Soap made with Goat’s Milk, Colloidal Oatmeal, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Castor Oil, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Titanium Dioxide, Black Oxide, Fragrance Oil
